We have coffee people!

Good morning blog world! 'Tis a grand and glorious day!!!! And to what do we owe this overly chipper state of mind? This, my friends.
That's right. I had a fresh, hot cup of joe ready for me when I awoke this morning. Seriously one of the best inventions/purchases of all time. The fact that this little machine can start brewing it's magic draaank before I even wake up and tell it to, is beyond me. I mean, I've always had coffee at work, but this whole starting your day with coffee thing? LIFE CHANGER.

I actually woke up at 6:35 this morning, you guys. Now that might seem like a pretty normal time to arise for your typical twenty-something who has to be to work by 8:00am gal. But I am not really a FAR from a "morning person." I don't understand those people, but I want to be them.

I had time to do all sorts of things this morning. Like drink said coffee, put makeup on like a big girl, watch home improvement, bicker converse with the roomie, and last but not least - attempt and fail yet another TIU Protein Pancake this morning.

What is the big secret with these buggers? They're like impossible. You can't see it, but I burnt the crap out of it. So I slapped a little peanut butter on it and it was actually pretty good. But just once I want to make one of those picture perfect beauty's like the one's that people tweet.

Show off! ;)

Until next time... xoxo

3:30pm

Well, I did write a cute little post about my afternoon snack and how it's always at 3:30 and I look forward to it so and blah blah blah, but it didn't save for some reason. So in short, I forgot to take a picture until I was 80% done, nevertheless, here it is.
(A handful of almonds & a fabulous gala apple)

'Twas delicious and nutritious! Now the battle is convincing myself to hit the gym tonight. I'm thinking zumba's going to be my best bet.
(Work it.)

Because truthfully, I just like to shake my booty :o)

Yay - first blog post!

It was definitely one of those mornings where I did not want to get out of bed. I think I was actually talking smack (out loud) to my alarm clock. Last night I had contemplated the idea of working out this morning before work, but that just wasn't in the cards. I did, however, get up early enough to make some oatmeal with berries and bananas on top. Any morning that includes a "real breakfast" is a successful morning in my book.
(Above: old-fashioned oats, water, organic brown rice protein, stevia, cinnamon, agave nectar, brown sugar, frozen berries, & banana.)

Someone brought in donuts to the office mid-morning. To be polite, I had one. Yep, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

(Deliciously glazed donut not pictured out of guilt)

I've been putting together a We-Fest 2013 playlist all day. I'm thinking that's what motivated me to finally get the ball rolling on this blog thing. Funny how I need to find things to look forward to keep me going and get me pumped up about eating healthy and working out. Because I want need to look like this by May 2013. I have time, right?
(No, unfortunately that's not me. Above: Hayden Panettiere in Nashville. My new itty bitty object person of thinspiration)

For lunch today, I had a healthy choice meal. Not exactly my first choice for a nutritious lunch. Ideally, I like to have leftover chicken/tilapia/tuna, quinoa, and some sort of veggie. BUT I'm super poor right now and it was on sale for $2.00 at the grocery store last night. And you know what? It was pretty darn tasty. That little bugger filled me up like a champ for only being 200 calories. And it didn't make me feel all tired and worthless. We might have a new frozen staple on our hands.
(Um, pretty self-explanatory with all the info here on the box. See also my chubby little sausage thumb ha ha ha)

I will blog again later this afternoon which will feature a picture of my highly anticipated afternoon snack! Pretty exciting folks. Because, yes, I am one of those weirdos that likes to take pictures of their food and share them with the world. After all, this is really just an online food/exercise/whatever diary that I can use to hold myself accountable and look back on.

XOXO
